2007 IUCN Academy Colloquium

The 5th IUCN Colloquium: “Rio+15: A Legal Critique of Ecologically Sustainable Development”

The 5th IUCN Academy Colloquium takes place in Rio de Janeiro and Parati, Brazil between May  31 and June 5, 2007.

The formal opening will be in Rio de Janeiro and next morning participants will move by bus to the colonial town of Parati where the Colloquium itself will take place.  The Colloquium will end at 5:00 p.m on June 5.  Those participants who would like to fly home or to other parts of Brazil can plan to do so either from Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo, since the distance between Parati and those cities is almost the same. It is a 4 hour drive in either direction.
The morning of Thursday 31 May is devoted to the meeting of the Academy’s Collegium.  This involves representatives of all member institutions.  In the afternoon of 31 May, the Governing Council will meet.
