| Feasibility survey for an IUCN Academy Environmental Law Journal and an Annual Environmental Awards |

The IUCN Academy is examining the feasibility of launching a new environmental law journal or other publication series, as well as establishing an annual awards program to recognize outstanding achievements in the fields of research and teaching in Environmental Law. Benjamin Richardson, the Co-chair of the Academy's Research Committee, has prepared two papers on these two proposals on behalf of the Research Committee and the Academy Secretariat. These papers are intended to provide a basis for discussion and consultation, outlining the major issues and the considerations that weigh for and against the proposals. Launching a new journal and an awards program could be quite complex and challenging, and therefore it is important to hear the views of as many Academy members as possible.
